Dance ensemble rehearsal

We are looking for anyone who loves to dance to take part in this Luton's most exciting music and dance spectacular.

People Power Passion - The Centenary Event will be a large scale spectacular outdoors in the town centre that draws inspiration from the 1919 Peace Day riots and acts of resistance around the world over the past 100 years. By combining music, dance and projections we will draw upon that wonderful image of people singing and dancing on top of stolen pianos as the Town Hall burned.

We are calling for people who love to dance to take part in a number of mass participation dances. We'll be exploring punk, 90's rave and #metoo movement with as many people on stage as we can handle.

Whether you've been dancing for years or have only just taken up Zumba on a Saturday morning, you are welcome to join us.

High Town Community Arts & Sport Centre

Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings primarily at High Town Community Arts and Sports Centre.

Rehearsals will be led by Choreographers Corinne Bougaard and Jordan Murphy from Union Dance and local Dance Captain Bethany Evangeline-Paul.

We're looking for people who want to have fun, meet new people and be part of something special.

Get in touch if you have any questions or want to find out more. peoplepowerpassion@luton.gov.uk or 01582 54 6283.
