Riot Act making sessions

Be part of the team making Riot Act, a new play to be staged in the Luton Council Chamber this July.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with professional theatre makers Dark Olive and Yet Another Carnival to create Riot Act, one of six projects commissioned by Luton Council for People Power Passion.

Riot Act will be devised by a community company - a group of local people from Luton who feel they experience inequality in the decision-making process and want to make their voice heard.

If this is you, or you’re not sure and want to find out more about joining the community company, we want to hear from you. No previous acting experience necessary.

*We are also keen to hear from anyone that would like to take part, but doesn’t want to be on stage – as well as stories about being silenced or finding your voice, we are also looking for people to help with costumes, props, music, lighting and more.
