Focus on Jazz starts 2020 with a Brit Funk special featuring ATMOSFEAR, the sensational UK JazzFunk Icons of the early ‘80s in a pre-tour performance at the Bear Club, Luton on Saturday 25th January.

Atmosfear are one of a select group of home-grown Jazz Funk bands of the early 1980s who formed the first wave of the Britfunk bands on the London music scene. Originally formed in 1979 as a studio band, Atmosfear produced a number of anthem tracks, including their timeless debut single ‘Dancing in Outer Space’ that has stood the test of time and shakes the bars and club dance floor around the world to this day. As well as their classic hits, they have also been busy writing new material which they will perform at this special event at the wonderfully intimate venue that is the Bear Club.

Our support Act on the night is local Singer/Songwriter Enne who will play an acoustic Soul set preceding the Band. As always, Starpoint Radio DJ Paul Goldsmith and Host, the Real Reminisce – Lee Drummond – will round off the evening perfectly.
