Located in Central Square families can visit The Mall’s magical Nutcracker Grotto, meet the Nutcracker and make a wish with their golden key in the Nutcracker wishing well!

Open from Saturday 23rd November and right through until Christmas eve, children can meet Father Christmas and the toy workshop elves and will be given a beautiful Christmas book. To capture these memories forever, there is a selection of beautiful photo gifts to purchase.

The Mall will also be welcoming their Gingerbread Elf workshop on 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December. After paying a visit to the Nutcracker Grotto, children will then get the chance to meet the Gingerbread Man himself and decorate a delightful gingerbread ceramic decoration to take home and place on their tree.

Families can pre-book their visit at or just turn up, but pre-booking is recommended to avoid queuing.

Grotto Quiet Sessions -Sunday 1st and 15th December from 9am – 11am and the Gingerbread Elf workshops on Sunday 15th December.

Parking is free for this event from 8.30am – 11.30am, shoppers are asked to bring their chip coin to the Ask Me Point where it will be validated by a member of the team.

Grotto Signing Sessions -Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th December from 2pm – 5pm. Families with deaf or hard of hearing children will be given a priority visit.

Grotto prices :Grotto visits during workshop dates are £5 per child (these visits include the Gingerbread Elf workshop). All other dates are £3 per child All proceeds* from visits and photos will be donated to Luton Foodbank to help local families this Christmas.
